Watch Netflix Movies on TV via PS3 Starting Next Month

If you have a PlayStation 3 gaming system at home and would like to do more with it in order to enhance your entertainment experience, you can become a member of the Netflix network and start watching movies and TV shows on your TV.
This cool feature will be enabled by the online movie rental service in collaboration with Sony Computer Entertainment America starting November and will be available at no cost to PS3 users in the United States with a Netflix account. Movies and TV shows will be streamed via the PlayStation 3 system to the TV.

This way Sony can proud itself with the world’s most complete home entertainment system that allows you to play high definition games, listen to music, watch various Blu-ray movies, browse pictures, access the Internet and get content provided via the PlayStation Network.

In order to be a Netflix member you have to spend $8.99 per month and get access to unlimited movies, as well as TV shows, having the possibility to stream them via compatible devices including the PlayStation 3. In addition, the network offers DVDs that can be delivered to the customers’ homes.

At first, you’ll be able to watch Netflix movies on the PS3 via a free Blu-ray disc provided to all Netflix members. It needs to be slid into the gaming system to reveal the available titles organized in categories, while you can choose to play them instantly, or add the ones you are interested in to the Queue. Using the wireless controller you can fast-forward or rewind the videos, in addition to read synopses and add your rating.
