Turn Into a Zombie in Infected Fury Month Social Game

Infected Fury Month is a new game launched by Kongregate, a web-based game site hosting one million players a day from allover the world, as well as 20,000 games available to play online. It comes with social features, while being sponsored by Electronic Arts.

Based on Left 4 Dead 2 from Valve, the M-rated Infected Fury Month is a 4-week program during which you can earn points by playing Flash games, but the pandemic that will be spread by Kongregate will turn players into an infected zombie, while some of the players will be the survivors. All will have the possibility to earn points by infecting other players to become zombies, or by training others to survive. These can be done via chat, or by pressing the Left 4 Dead 2 button in profile pages. The infected ones will have their avatar and profile page grayed and full of blood. The survivors’ profiles will show glowing silver shields instead.

Infected Fury Month has started on October 23 and will end on November 20.

“Infected Fury Month demonstrates the truly effective benefits of viral branding on Kongregate,” explained Lee Uniacke, chief revenue officer at Kongregate. “ We have over six million highly engaged gamers who will love getting involved with other players this way. “As Kongregate players experience yet another fun way to interact within the community, we’re building additional consumer excitement for next month’s launch of Left 4 Dead 2 on Xbox 360 and PC. Users on our site will be deeply enmeshed in the fiction of Left 4 Dead 2 by the time it hits store shelves.”
