Check the new mouse pointer from Hillcrest Labs! This handheld device allows you to control computer media and browse the Internet right on your TV screen using simple hand movements and clicks.
In order to use it you need to connect your PC or Mac to the TV, hold the Loop Pointer in one hand and press the 4 buttons to guide the cursor on the screen.

The mouse features an ergonomic design and wireless connectivity via a micro USB 2.0 transceiver. It also doesn’t require special software installation.

You can do a lot of things with it, such as scrolling through web pages, compose emails using an on-screen keyboard, perform different presentations in PowerPoint, access images and videos via the Kodak Theatre HD Player, access the PS3 web browser while playing games, and connect to the aTV Flash web browser.

Loop Pointer is based on the Freespace technology, encountered at Logitech’s famous MX Air Rechargeable Cordless Air Mouse, which increases pointing precision, while allowing you to use it from any position.
In order to avoid unintentional movement interpretation, the same technology can detect your specific tremor and increase the pointer accuracy.

Thanks to the radio frequency technology, itcan be used around within the 30-feet range, unlike infrared remote controls that require you to stay in the line of sight.

MSI Introduced the C770-C45 and C770-C35 Mainboards

Based on the 45 nm architecture, the new Athlon II X2 processors are promoted as one of the best solutions when it comes to scalability, providng higher performance and overclocking when compared to the previous models. In addition, they are available at affordable prices, attracting more customers. These determined MSI to release the C770-C45 and C770-C35 motherboards with support for the Phenom II AM3 processors.

Customers can benefit from several new technologies developed by MSI, such as the APS power saving, the Easy OS Switch, and the MAX FSB overclocking.

The Active Phase Switching technology allows the control of the power supply using auto phase switching for the central processing unit and components. This involves automatic adjustment of the power according to the operating requirements.

Easy OS Switch is a great tool for switching between different overclocking levels without using the BIOS, while MAX FSB can be activated in order to provide the best settings for the processor, allowing the user adjust FSB and multiplier at the BIOS level in a matter of seconds.

Last but not least there’s the M-Flash technology which offers you the possibility to update or reset the BIOS from an USB drive in case you computer can’t start or is inoperable.

It’s clear that the two new MSI motherboards, C770-C45 and C770-C35, bring attractive features, but even if the manufacturer promises a cost-effective solution there is no word on prices yet.
