SpongeBob’s Truth or Square Released for Wii, DS, Xbox 360 and PSP

Kids playing on a Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 or the PlayStation Portable gaming system will probably be happy to hear about the launch of a new SpongeBob game that’s called SpongeBob’s Truth or Square. It was announced by THQ yesterday and is available at major retailers in the United States.

In the new game kids will have the chance to start a new adventure full of action and discover the most humorous moments from the TV show from the last ten years, celebrating this way the 10th anniversary.
New in the game is the morphing capability of SpongeBob that allows him to transform into different objects such as the Spatula Slam, Sledgehammer Smash and Propeller Spin.

It is still an E-rated game and is available for purchase for a suggested retail price of $39.99 for the Wii and Xbox 360, while the Nintendo DS and the PlayStation Portable versions sell for $29.99.

In its latest press release, THQ tells us that the game developed by Heavy Iron Studios is about involving in a journey through different locations in the SpongeBob SquarePants world to search the Krabby Patty formula before the starting of the Eleventy Seventh Anniversary of Krusty Krab. There are ten levels, each featuring a nice SpongeBob SquarePants moment.

“For SpongeBob’s 10th Anniversary year, we’re excited to provide gamers with SpongeBob’s Truth or Square,” said Shaan Kandawalla, vice president, digital retail games at Nickelodeon. “Coupled with the celebrity-filled Truth or Square Nickelodeon television event in November, there is something for every SpongeBob fan this month.”
