Sony Introduces the Vaio W Series in Japan

Earlier today, Sony Japan announced a new netbook computer model included in the Vaio W series, and prepared for release next month in chocolate brown, white and pink.
Japanese customers will have the chance to get their hands on a new stylish mini laptop powered by the low-power-consuming Intel Atom processing technology, pre-loaded with a wallpaper that matches the exterior design of the computer.

The netbook seems to be designed for women, as Sony specifies in its press release that the keys have enough space between them to provide comfort while typing with long nails.

The 10.1-inch Sony Vaio W netbook features a display resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, coming with Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3 pre-installed, and equipped with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor model, 1GB of system memory, 160GB of hard disk space, Intel GMA 950 graphics, Wireless module with draft N support, built-in web camera for video conferences, Bluetooth connectivity, and 3.5-hour operating time.
You could use it for mobile entertainment applications such as watching movies, listening to the music, playing simple games and working with office documents.

Each laptop comes with Sony’s Media plus software that allows you to connect your netbook to compatible devices in your home and share media files. For example, you could connect it to a large TV panel and show family members and friends the pictures and videos you took during your last trip.
If you missed a TV show, but set the TV recorder in the living room to record it, you can simply connect the Vaio laptop to it and watch the show from another room.
12 Zone Analysis creates playlists based on moods, while the 24 Music Channels is a cool function that allows you to play the music playlist that fits your current mood.

Sony VPCW119XJ measures 267.8 x 27.5 x 179.6 mm and will be available for a retail price of around $650.
