Sensometrix Launches the SensoBox Biometric Vein Reader

Until October 9, Sensometrix, the provider of biometric identification solutions, is showcasing two new products developed for security and access control applications required in border control and airports, at this year’s edition of the ITU Telecom World exhibition held in Geneva. These are the SensoBrain technology and the SensoBox system that uses the advanced vein recognition technology.

While SensoBrain is a complex and advanced algorithm featuring a fast response time, meeting high security standards, the SensoBox biometric vein reader based on SensoBrain is capable to recognize an individual from a large database with thousands of people, in just a fraction of a second, functioning at the highest security levels.
The device meets the European data protection and privacy standards. It encrypts the image of your palm, without making it accessible to Sensometrix, or to the company that manages the access.

You can find out more about how this technology works at the ITU Telecom World 2009, where Sensometrix will unveil its entire features range. Sensometrix also announced making the SensoBrain technology available worldwide under license, while the SensoBox will be used in Europe.

“After many years of research and development, our technology delivers impressive identification performance for large-scale applications such as airports, border control and governmental programs”, said Marc R. Bohren, chairman of Sensometrix.
