Samsung debuted its latest LCD display with High Definition support, called SyncMaster XL2370. It is a LED display coming in an ultra-slim form factor but equipped with the latest technologies to enable high-quality images from a 23-inch widescreen.
The model will be available for purchase in a few days, more exactly on October 12, at Best Buy, while other retailers will provide it to customers by the end of November.
Having an estimated street price of $299, the SyncMaster XL2370 is an affordable LED backlit display and, in addition, it has double function. You can use it either as a desktop computer monitor, or LCD TV.
It enables 1080 HD resolution, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 2-ms response time, and 170/160-degree viewing angles.
Some key features supported by new LCD display from Samsung are MagicBright3, MagicTune, MagicWizard, and the SafeMode.
The display consumes 28 Watts of power while in operating mode and less than 1.3 Watts while in standby.
It is lightweight at 3.6 Kg and comes in Samsung’s Touch of Color matte black finish that gives the impression it’s black in the daylight and charcoal gray in brighter ambient light. It’s surrounded by a transparent acrylic trim to make it look like floating and you can tilt it up to 25 degrees.
“This monitor will definitely set a new standard for this category,” said Doug Albregts, vice president, Information Technology Division, Samsung Electronics America. “Samsung is taking its monitors to the next level by creating a high end monitor with a sharp design. It has an amazing picture quality that our high-end users appreciate at a price that our cost conscious consumers also like.”
