Samsung released a new cell phone with 3G TD-SCDMA support for high-speed Internet connectivity, but it is available exclusively for China Mobile’s customers. Samsung S5630C is a full touchscreen handset with handwriting recognition and support for Chinese character input, powered by the HELP3 technology from Anadigics.
Anadigics provided its AWT6241 WCDMA power amplifier for Samsung’s new handset to enable longer talk times, as well as increased 3G performance, without sacrificing the battery life.
The HELP3 technology provides two operating modes for best performance and low to medium power, as well as a shutdown mode with the lowest power consumption.

The handset comes in black with a China Red casing located on the back and pre-loads several productivity features including the Microsoft Exchange Active Sync, the Microsoft Office suite and Push Mail.
It has a large 2.8-inch QVGA display through which users can access applications and media content on the TouchWiz interface, while the built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g module enables wireless Internet connectivity in hot spots.

“China is a major focus for Anadigics and we are honored to be selected by Samsung for a handset supporting China Mobile’s new 3G TD-SCDMA network,” declared Michael Canonico, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Anadigics. “Our steadfast commitment to RF expertise and innovation ensures that Anadigics is able to consistently deliver high performance devices for use around the world, underscoring our position as the leader in power amplifier technology.”
