If you are one of the administrators of a computer network which you use to control remotely, the RemShutdown software provides an easy solution to control when each computer shuts down.
From what we read on the official page of the software we learned that it’s pretty easy to use, without requiring advanced knowledge of computer programs.
All you need to do is add as many computers from the network as you need, select the ones you plan to shut down and press the Shutdown button in the user interface.
To add the computers in the list you can select them by IP range, or add separate IP addresses and host names in a classic text file. Also, to make things even simpler, RemShutdown offers you the possibility to resolve host names according to the available IPs. This method lasts longer but you’ll be able to save the entire computer list and use it again at a later time.
Other features you may use include setting of a user name and password or a shutdown delay, the Prevent button for stopping the shutdown process, the system reboot after shutdown, and forcing applications to close.
RemShutdown allows experienced users to perform multiple tasks right from the command line.
At the moment it is supported by Windows operating systems up to Vista.
These being said, all you need to do is test the software for 15 days, and if it’s what you need you can purchase the latest version, which at this moment is 2.5, for $14.50 from the official website of NSAUDITOR.
