Bose presented today the best-performing, quietest headphones made by them: QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones. QuietComfort 15 headphones offers more attenuation in louder environments and across a wider range of frequencies — without compromising the audio quality.
“We believe the QuietComfort 15 headphones offer a combination of benefits unmatched in the industry,” said Sean Garrett, general manager of the Bose Noise Reduction Technology Group. “We’ve applied our research in noise reduction using an integrated systems approach -– an approach as proprietary as our technologies. It requires meticulous engineering to ensure all elements of the headphone work together to achieve our very ambitious performance requirements.”
With QuietComfort 15 Bose debuts a new noise reduction technology, placing microphone both inside and outside the earcup. New proprietary ear cushion technology provides additional passive attenuation. It features a new mechanical design and uses materials selected for specific acoustic properties to block more noise from entering the earcup.
QuietComfort 15 incorporates Bose Triport acoustic headphone structure and also proprietary active equalization technology electronically tunes the frequency response of the headphones. The Bose Triport acoustic structure features small port in the earcups that dramatically increase the low-frequency output of the system.
To power the QuietComfort 15 you will need a single AAA battery for 35 hours of use. The gree on.off indicator flashes when there are five hours of battery life remaining.
