Pantech C570 Music Phone Launches Via Telcel in Mexic

Telcel, a Mexican-based telecommunication company, introduced a new music phone for its customers, presented in black and red.
Pantech C570 pre-loads two hit songs and a music video of Paty Cantu, a popular singer among Mexican teenagers, as well as a wallpaper showing her.
As it’s a music handset, Pantech C570 features a standard 3.5-mm headphone jack through which you can connect any common earphone.
Featuring support for the Radio Data System protocol, the slider phone can display information on the songs it plays, such as the artist’s name and the name of the song.

Music player controls are located on the front of the handset, as well as on the earphones’ wire, so you won’t have to take the phone out from your pocket when you need to change the song.
These controls allow you to play, stop and move to the next song in the playlist, or simple switch between the MP3 player and FM radio modes.

Users can store up to 1GB of files on the included microSD memory card, such as music, picture taken with the built-in 2MP digital camera, or files received via Bluetooth from other compatible handsets.
These seem to be the only features specified by Pantech, so we could assume there is no HTML, email or chat support, but we’ll find out more after the availability date.
According to the latest Pantech press release, the new cell phone will be introduced in red and silver in just a few days, by the end of this month.
