Panda Cloud Antivirus Beta 2 Available for Download

Panda Security announced a new beta release of its cloud-based antivirus solution called Panda Cloud Antivirus. The beta 2 of the first thin-client antivirus based on the cloud computing environment is available for free, promising 50% lower consume of resources when compared to similar antivirus solutions available on the market.

After the launch back in April, the developer has received over three million malware samples at Panda Labs from the user community, which helped in improving the protection levels as well as the response time from the Collective Intelligence system which compiles each file received in a matter of minutes.

The Panda Cloud Antivirus enables local, as well as remote antivirus protection, along with anti-spyware, heuristic scanning, anti-rootkit and a goodware cache.
The company’s press release also announces that the new solution based on the ultra-light client/server architecture consumes only 17 MB of RAM memory while running on the computer.

Panda Security recommends you to download and install it because of its three key elements:
1. It protects you while browsing web sites, play and work online. As it’s very light, working in the cloud, you won’t even notice it.
2. It enables fastest protection against known and unknown viruses, based on the cloud-scanning from servers at PandaLabs.
3. It doesn’t require you to keep an eye on the updates or configuration.
