Ovi Mail Reached 1 Million Users

Ovi is a fun service provided for Nokia cell phone users worldwide, through which they can create and share files with others, organize contacts, keep calendar events and to-do lists, send and receive emails, check maps, purchase games and buy music.
The popular email client from Ovi is a free application that you can use directly on your handset to stay in touch with friends and family wherever you are.
Ovi Mail accounts come with 1GB of free storage, as well as anti-spam and anti-virus protection. The email service has an intuitive user interface supporting drag-and-drop and inbox preview, while a simple email account has the format you@ovi.com.

Ovi Mail has become very successful in developing countries such as India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa and Russia, being available in 20 languages including Arabic, Bengali, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Hindi, Latin America Spanish, Portugese (Portugal), Portugese (Brazil), Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, US English, UK English and Vietnamese.
It was launched in December 2008 and now it’s available in over 180 countries worldwide. People access it from a wide range of Nokia cell phones running S40 or S60 software, most of them using it on Nokia 2330 classic, Nokia 5310 XpressMusic and Nokia 2630.

Nokia has just announced that the number of subscribers of Ovi Mail has reached 1 million, while more than 650,000 accounts were created right on the handsets.
