NVidia launched a new product line – the 200 series which will be available only for OEM prebuilt systems. The 200 series contains two video cards: GeForce GT 220 and GeForce G210.
GeForce 210 has 16 processor cores, 1402 MHz processor clock and 589 MHz graphics core. It has 512MB DDR2 memory at a frequency of 500MHz and a memory bandwidth of 8GB/s. It’s too bad that the memory interface width is at 64bit.
GeForce 210 supports NVIDIA PureVideo Technology, NVIDIA CUDA Technology, DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 3.0. CUDA technology unlocks the power of the GPU’s processor cores to accelerate the most demanding system tasks – such as video transcoding – delivering incredible performance improvements over traditional CPUs.
The combination of high-definition video decode acceleration and post-processing that delivers unprecedented picture clarity, smooth video, accurate color, and precise image scaling for movies and video.GeForce 210 supports picture-in-picture content for the ultimate interactive Blu-ray and HD DVD movie experience.
GeForce GT 220 is different from Geforce 210, offering 48 processors cores at the frequency of 1335 MHz and memory clock at 615 MHz. It comes with 1 GB DDR3, memory interface Width at 128-bit, memory bandwidth 25.3 GB/sec.
For complete digital experience it comes with fully integrated support for HDMI 1.3a including xvYCC, Deep color and 7.1 digital surround sound. GeForce GT220 supports for NVIDIA PhysX technology, enabling a totally new class of physical gaming interaction for a more dynamic and realistic experience with GeForce.
