Nokia N900 Starts Shipping

Nokia announced starting the shipment of its N900 mobile computer that will soon be available in stores across Europe, Russia, Middle-East and North America at a starting price of EUR 500. It is available now for pre-orders at the UK-based Nokia online store for £499.

Nokia N900 is a powerful mobile handset with side-sliding QWERTY keyboard for easy texting on the go, which features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display of 800 x 480 pixels, customizable desktop supporting up to four different views, 3D graphic acceleration supporting OpenGL ES 2.0, ambient light sensor, accelerometer sensor and brightness control.
You can navigate through the menus either using your finer or the included stylus.

The handset also supports external memory of up to 16GB via a microSD card and is powered by an ARM Cortex-A8 processor, having 1GB total internal memory, which means that it allows you to keep dozens of windows open simultaneously and switch between applications according to your needs.

Next, there is a built-in 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Bluetooth 2.1 wireless short-range connectivity, TV out, the Maemo 5 platform, tones of applications for entertainment, personalization and productivity, rich HTML browsing, A-GPS, FM radio and many, many others.
You can do almost anything with the new Nokia N900, which wants to enable a laptop-like experience in a much smaller form factor.
