Nokia N86 8MP is a highly-anticipated and award-winning mobile handset that’s now coming in stores across the United States, boasting a built-in 8MP digital camera with dual LED flash and Carl Zeiss high-quality lens.
We don’t know how the photos come out, as previous Nokia cell phones didn’t satisfy camera phone fans, but it should be a great solution for those looking for this combination of multiple high-end functionalities in a single handset.
In addition to the high-res camera, Nokia N86 8MP has a 2.6-inch scratch-resistant AMOLED screen of 16 million colors, a technology characterized by an ultra-thin and ultra-bright display that consumes much less power to function than LCDs.
The handset pre-loads the Share Online client that allows you to share pictures on the social networking sites in one click, as well as Ovi services such as Ovi Maps, N-Gage and Ovi Files.
Other features of the handset announced in February include 3G support, an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, MP3 player, stereo speakers, a 3.5-mm audio jack, dedicated music and gallery keys, unlimited phonebook entries, 8GB of built-in storage, 128MB of RAM memory, support for up to 16GB of external memory via a microSD card, vibration, Wi-Fi module, the UpnP technology, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microUSB connectivity, the Symbian OS v9.3, S60 rel. 3.2 operating system, an ARM 11 434 MHz processor, email, HTML, Stereo FM radio with RDS, A-GPS, digital compass, office document viewer, voice memo, TV-out, and Flash Lite 3.1.
It enables up to 3.6Mbps of Internet speeds, while the built-in 8MP camera features autofocus, geotagging, 40fps video recording capability and a resolution of up to 3264 x 2448 pixels for still images. There’s a secondary camera for video calls.
Nokia N86 8MP powers from a Li-Ion 1200mAh battery for providing up to 6 hours and 18 minutes of continuous talk time, and 312 hours of standby. It comes in Indigo Black and White for $558.
