New Windows Mobile 6.5 Smartphone from HTC: HTC Touch2

HTC Corporation presented HTC Touch2, one of their first phones with Windows Mobile 6.5. With HTC Touch2 you will benefit from services like Microsoft My Phone and Windows Marketplace for Mobile.

With Microsoft MyPhone you can syncronize information on your mobile phone to a storage space on a web site hosted by Microsoft. If your phone is lost or stolen, or if you upgrade to a new phone, you can easily restore the contacts, calendar appointments, photos, and other information that you stored on My Phone to a compatible new or replacement phone. Most phones that run the Windows Mobile 6 operating system are compatible with My Phone service.

Peter Chou, Chief Executive Officer, HTC Corporation said about HTC Touch2: “The HTC Touch2 delivers a familiar touch experience that millions of people have come to expect and rely on from HTC in their daily lives. Whether it’s making a call, checking in with a friend or simply responding to an important email, the HTC Touch2 puts you in touch and in control.”

HTC Touch2 includes multiple enhancements including TouchFLO, Google Maps for Mobile, YouTube and more. TouchFLO is the user interface that gives easy access to of the most popular applications.

The HTC Touch2 will initially be available to customers on October 6 with broad availability in a variety of European and Asian markets in early Q4 2009.
