The new Dell Juicz Battery announced today doesn’t break the 24-hour battery life barrier like HP’s ultra-capacity battery introduced last year by the HP EliteBook 6930p laptop, but when used together with the Dell Adamo laptop it adds up to 10 hours of extra operating time to the 5 hours already provided by the laptop’s internal lithium-polymer battery.
Dell Juicz was introduced earlier today by QuickerTek as being available for the Dell Adamo laptop computer as an optional accessory. It is an external battery type consisting of several lithium-ion batteries fused together to enable 124Wh capacity.
According to QuickerTek, this is the highest charge density per gram of weight available on the market, supporting 1,000 to 2,000 full recharges.
The new battery is packed with a 120/240 volt AC battery charger for quick recharging in just three hours, and weighs only 1.2 pounds, measuring 7 x 3.5 x 1 inches, which makes it easy to transport inside your laptop bag.
To match the external design of the Dell Adamo, the battery comes in a black anodized aluminum case sporting a similar design as the laptop model and includes a 1-year limited warranty.
You can purchase one from QuickerTek for a price of $249.95.
To refresh your memory, Dell Adamo is a $2,699 model featuring a 13.4-inch HD WLED display, full-sized backlit keyboard, built-in 1.3MP web camera, integrated microphone, the latest Bluetooth version, 2.1, wireless draft N, 1.4GHz processing speeds, 4GB DDR3 dual-channel memory, 120GB SSD drive and impressive metallic design elements.
