MySpace launched a series of new music-related services for the social networking site users, including music videos, an artist dashboard and the possibility to buy music from iTunes.
The new tools are available to both fans and artists and they can find them under the names MySpace Music Videos and MySpace Artist Dashboard.
MySpace Music Videos is an online collection of music videos licensed from various label partners and features the new Music Video hub in MySpace Music, video recommendations based on friends’ preferences, the possibility to search videos by initial, the new video player with Buy buttons, music video catalogs from various artists, and the iLike feature that now includes the Music Video collection.
The new MySpace Artist Dashboard is basically an analytic tool for artists and labels, which can be used to access analytical data related to content. It is available for free for every artist who has a MySpace account and provides unlimited access to graphs, charts, snapshots, fan geography, played songs, profile views, visitors information and friend count, as well as trends for 7-day and 30-day periods, while the iLike integrates here to enable top data from partner networks.
The Artist Dashboard features 17 languages in more than 20 areas.
