Microsoft Announces the LifeCam Cinema Webcam With HD Support

Microsoft’s new LifeCam Cinema web camera is the world’s first model that enables widescreen high definition video using a 720p native sensor. This capability allows you to create high-quality videos with clear sound that include more elements than the traditional web cameras. It captures at 74 degrees.
The camera promises to deliver outstanding image quality at high frame rates even in low light conditions. It features Auto Focus for sharp images, and the Microsoft ClearFrame Technology for faster image processing and improved noise reduction.

After taking some attractive pictures, users can integrate them with Windows Live either via the latest version of Windows Live Movie Maker with high definition support, for creating movies and sharing them later on popular social web sites, or via Windows Live Photo Gallery, where they can upload pictures for editing, tagging and sharing with the others.

In addition to this innovative product release, Microsoft also announced the LifeChat LX-1000 headset designed to be a perfect companion for any of its LifeChat web camera models. The headset enables high-quality audio and has a built-in noise-canceling microphone.

Both new products will be available next month. LifeCam Cinema will have a starting price of $79.95, while the LifeChat LX-1000 headset will retail for $24.95. You can pre-order them starting August 24.
