Microsoft Announced Windows 7 Pricing, Upgrade Options and a Hot Offer

In the latest post on the Windows 7 Team Blog, Michael LeBlanc, one of Microsoft’s Windows Communications Managers, published the latest news on the upcoming Windows operating system’s pricing.

Microsoft wants to release the new operating system’s versions as soon as possible and, as you already know, OEMs will ship computers running on Windows 7 starting October 22. It will be available first in 14 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Later, on October 31, you will be able to get Windows 7 in Turkish, Ukrainian, Czech, Portuguese, Hungarian, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Hebrew, Greek, Romanian, Arabic, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Estonian, Croatian, Slovenian, Thai, Serbian Latin and Latvian.

For those of you who can’t wait until the holidays to get a new computer running one of the Windows 7 versions, Microsoft provides the Upgrade Option Program launched today, June 26.
The program works like this: you get the new computer running on either Windows Vista Home Premium, Business or Ultimate, from one of the OEMs or retailers participating in the program, and spend a little more on the upgrade when the system will be available.
Microsoft offers this upgrading option worldwide until January 31, 2010.

Finally we have information on the upgrade prices as well, and the good news is that Microsoft reduced the price for the Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade down to $119.99, which means 10% cheaper than the $129.99 Vista Home Premium.
The other retail prices set for the upgrade program are: $199.99 for the Windows 7 Professional and $219.99 for Windows 7 Ultimate.
If you want to wait and get the full package, you’ll have to spend $119.99 for Windows 7 Home Premium, $299.99 for Windows 7 Professional and $319.99 for Windows 7 Ultimate.

More than these, Microsoft launched a limited super offer for its customers! You can pre-order the new operating system at 50% discount, which translates to only $49.99 for Windows 7 Home Premium, and $99 for Windows 7 Professional.
Only select partners, such as Best Buy and Amazon, will offer the system for these low prices in the US, but you can also purchase it from Microsoft’s online store until July 11.
In Canada, the offer will end on the same date, while in Japan, it will end even earlier, on July 5.
If you live in the United Kingdon, Germany or France, you can benefit from this offer starting July 15, until August 14.
