Logitech unveiled today seven new webcams, all with working compatibility with Vid. Looking through the multitude of these models, there’s surely one for everyone. The new webcams announced include the Logitech Webcam Pro 9000, Logitech Portable Webcam C905, Logitech Webcam C600, Logitech Webcam C500, Logitech Webcam C300, Logitech Webcam C250 and the Logitech Webcam C200.
“Now that Vid is changing the way people stay in touch, it’s the perfect time to pick up a new Logitech webcam and make video calling a regular part of your life,” said Gina Clark, general manager and vice president of Logitech’s Internet Communications business unit. “Logitech is a pioneer in the development of webcams, and our latest products make it easy to see your friends and family around the world.”
Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 and Logitech Portable Webcam C905 are equipped with Zeiss optics with autofocus, a 2-megapixel HD sensor and offer video quality up to 720p and snapshots at up to 8 megapixels. Using the Logitech RightLight 2 technology you will have a clear image even in dim or backlit surroundings, and with the help of Logitech Video Effects you’ll be able to personalize your chat with avatars, and face accessories that mirror movement.
Logitech Webcam C600 offers HD-quality video and 8-megapixel snapshots because of the 2-megapixel sensor. The C500 model has a 1.3-megapixel sensor with a 5-megapixel photo capture. Both models feature the Logitech RightLight and Video Effects technologies.
The Logitech Webcam C300 provides up to 5-megapixel photo capture. To add some fun to your video chats you can use the Logitech Video Effects Fun Filters that lets you do neon splashes, fish-eye distortions, and more.
The C250 and C200 models can take snapshots at up to 1.3 megapixels (software enhanced) thanks to their VGA sensor.
All of Logitech’s new webcams are equipped with a built-in microphone with Logitech RightSound technology that will guarantee a clear sound without background noise.
Logitech Vid is an interface that offers a fast and easy way to setup your video calls. It is compatible with applications like Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and AIM.
Prices for these Logitech webcams are as follows: Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 – €109.99, Logitech Portable Webcam C905 – €99.99, Logitech Webcam C600 – €79.99, Logitech Webcam C500 – €49.99, Logitech Webcam C300 – €39.99, Logitech Webcam C250 – €29.99 and Logitech Webcam C200 – €19.99. These models will be available starting with August.
