Logitech Launches the Squeezebox Touch Wi-Fi Music Player

From the latest press release from Logitech we learned about the features of two new music players introduced by the company, which will be available in stores later this month. Both allow you to listen to the music from any room in your home, having as sources your personal computer, Internet radio stations and subscription-based music providers.

While the Logitech Squeezebox Radio comes with support for all these sources, the Logitech Squeezebox Touch Wi-Fi music player adds the 4.3-inch touchscreen input for the display, on which the user can check details about the radio stations, the album art, playlist and music services. More than that, it enables sampling rates of 24 bits at 96 kHz, which provides high-quality sound with minimum distortion.
You can connect it to the existing stereo speaker system and to the home network. It also features SD memory card slot and USB connectivity for Flash drives.

Another thing you can do with the music player is to connect to Facebook and check the statuses of your friends, as well as their profile photos and share music recommendations. Flickr slideshows are also supported and you can watch them right on the media player’s display.

Logitech Squeezebox Touch Wi-Fi music player has a retail price of $299.99.

“Digital music and the Internet have radically changed how we discover, share and listen to the music we love,” said Sam Feng, product marketing director of Logitech’s Streaming Media business unit. “Now, millions of people are downloading music through iTunes and listening to Internet radio stations and music services and our newest Logitech Squeezebox Wi-Fi music players bring it all together. Just plug one in and you can be ready to discover and enjoy music from around the world.”
