For EUR 129, the new Harmony 700 universal remote control from Logitech replaces several remotes used in your home for controlling TV channels, movies, music and games. Logitech will make it available in the US and European stores later this month for a suggested retail price of $149.99, providing its customers a solution designed to simplify home entertainment control.
Harmony 700 is rechargeable being powered by two NiMh batteries and can operate continuously for up to one week, without requiring you to replace batteries. It has as a color display on which you can see icons of channels and specific commands for the device your are using at that moment.
It also can replace up to six remote controls and is easy to setup online, via a special software in which you need to enter your home entertainment equipment and follow the steps of the setup process. The universal remote comes with support for over 5,000 brands and 225,000 devices and customers get access to the live support in case they need help for the setup process, or just have some questions to ask.
Logitech Harmony 700 works with Windows operating systems up to Windows 7, requiring a free USB port on the computer and Internet access, as well as with Mac systems running Mac OS X 10.3 or higher. It comes with an USB cable, the AC adapter, two rechargeable batteries, the user guide and a 2-year warranty.
