Cities XL, in case you haven’t heard of it already, is a simulation computer game type with nice graphics, in which you can get online and interact with other players to build a a prosperous city for virtual citizens. It was developed by the Monte Cristo video game publisher that has announced the appearance of the Kodak brand in its game.
Finding this new way to reach customers, the Eastman Kodak Company will enable players to build a KODAK EXPRESS Digital Solutions store, as well as a KODAK Theatre from Hollywood, while displaying its logo on billboards in virtual cities.

The video game has two modes. The single player mode puts you in the role of a city mayor, while the Online Planet mode, a massively multi-player mode, allows you to manage up to five cities, get in contact with other mayors to trade and collaborate.

The standard edition of the game available now on the official site sells for $39.99, packing 25 maps with different landscapes, 500 buildings featuring European, American and Asian architecture styles, 15 resource types, four types of citizens, a traffic system, a choice for enterprises, a set of construction tools and an avatar studio.

“We’re very proud of our partnership with Kodak, a brand known to citizens of cities around the world and a brand that shares our passion for creativity,” said Jerome Gastaldi, CEO, Monte Cristo. “Kodak provides the kind of realism and content that gamers expect from CITIES XL.”
