Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Mac Available

The users of Mac-based computers have now an anti-virus solution designed to protect the system from all kinds of malware, coming from Kasperki. The security software developer released the Anti-Virus for Mac that uses an improved anti-virus engine to speed up the scanning process, while consuming less resources. It works with dual core and quad core processors and requires the Mac OS X version 10.4.11 or higher.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Mac protects computers against viruses, worms, Trojans and other malware, in mixed networks. Its database gathered information on 20 million malicious programs for different platforms and it’s updated hourly, like the other anti-virus solutions provided by the company.
While installed on the computer, the software scans all files and email attachments that users download from the Internet. Besides this, it uses a smart resource management system that gives priority to the user’s tasks to increase performance.
In addition, it protects shared folders used in virtual systems by home and corporate users.

The interface is animated and more attractive, as well as easy to understand by beginners and advanced users. There is also an automated mode that allows the software to make decisions, leaving users focused on their work.

Additional system requirements include an Intel processor model, 512 MB of RAM memory, and 80 MB free hard drive space.
A one-year license for one Mac computer can be purchased for $59.95.
