I’m sure many of you had the chance to try security software products from Kaspersky Lab, whether you represent a small business, a large company, or you’re just a home user who needs a reliable computer protection solution on the long term.
Even if some software failed a few tests for certifications in the past, Kasperski’s products are still in the top of computer users’ preferences.
The developer provides software packages featuring anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-spam protection among others, for both Windows and Linux-based systems, and its latest press release refers at the release of the beta version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server 6.0.
Linux systems proved to be the most reliable when it comes to malware protection, but there were several malicious programs detected as passing through the file servers in a network that includes Windows-based workstations.
According to the latest statistics, there is an increasing number of malicious programs targeting the most reliable operating system, and so Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server 6.0 is getting ready to defend networks.
The new software version keeps the powerful capabilities of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server 5.7 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Samba Server 5.5, but adds several security solutions, to be up to date with the latest security threats, such as multi-layered protection for file systems in heterogeneous networks.
It also brings more management solutions available via Kaspersky Web Management Console, which is accessible via the Internet browser, from any computer on the network.
Additionally, the latest version delivers the Kaspersky Administration Kit with support for centralized management services.
Kasperski added support for all 32-bit and 64-bit Linux-based systems such as Red Hat, Fedora, Debian GNU, Ubuntu, SUSE and openSUSE, as well as for Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 and Novell NSS, so that Novell NetWare users have an easier way of migrating to the new operating system.
You can download and test the best software version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server 6.0 from the official website of the developer.
