HTC Droid Eris Available at Verizon Wireless

Today, Verizon Wireless customers in the United States have the chance to meet and buy a new Android smartphone developed by HTC and called HTC Droid Eris. It is available for purchase at an attractive price of $99.99.
Powered by the HTC Sense technology that brings several high-end sensors for automatic screen brightness adjustment and automatic turn-off, the handset seems to be a great mobile companion when it comes to mobile entertainment and productivity tools, in addition to customization options. Based on the Scenes feature, users can create several home screens and customize them with widgets and application shortcuts.

With HTC Droid Eris it’s possible to get to text messages, phone calls, emails and Flickr or Facebook updates of a single contact.
Other features of the mobile phone include the 3.2-inch display diagonal, touchscreen and trackball interface, built-in 5MP camera with autofocus, support for up to 16GB memory via a misroSD card, USB mass storage, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a 3.5-mm headphone jack, integrated GPS, digital compass, smart dialer, full HTML web browsing with Flash Lite support, and several Google services such as Google Maps, Gmail and Google Search.

The price of $99.99 applies after a $100 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract.
