Among the new laptop computers introduced by HP lately is the consumer-oriented HP Pavilion dm3 coming in a a slim and stylish design characterized by the metallic finish, while equipped with the latest mobile technologies focused on increasing both mobility and performance.
HP Pavilion dm3 is powered by a standard 6-cell battery that enables no less than ten hours of continuous operating time so users to have enough time to perform their everyday tasks at the same performance level.
The notebook comes with rich entertainment capabilities and a 13.3-inch BrightView high definition LED display, while running with either the AMD Neo Dual Core processing technology, or Intel’s Core 2 Duo option, offering integrated or discrete graphic options via Intel, ATI or NVIDIA mobile solutions.
If users choose to combine the AMD Neo processor with ATI graphics, the laptop can switch between high-performance graphics while plugged it and shared graphics after you unplug it. This capability is called PowerXpress and can be used to increase battery life.
Other features of the laptop model include the HP MediaSmart software for dedicated function keys that access the Internet and multimedia content at a single button press, the 500GB had disk drive space, optional WWAN for wireless connectivity, built-in web camera with microphone for video conferencing, and optional Blu-ray support.
HP Pavilion dm3 is a 4.2-pound laptop coming in Modern Argento gray with an AMD processor for $549, or the Intel technology for $649. It runs on the Windows 7 operating system and will be available for purchase starting October 22.
