HP Mini 5101 Durable Netbook for Business Professionals

HP Mini 5101 Durable Netbook for Business Professionals

Instead of using a rugged design for increasing durability of its latest netbook model, HP chose to build it using anodized aluminum for the display enclosure, and magnesium alloy in the lower case of the frame, while adding a split-resistant QWERTY keyboard with HP DuraKeys that shows no wear after long time typing.
This way, the new 10.1-inch HP Mini 5101 mini notebook computer with LED display, powered by the Intel processing technology, becomes a durable yet lightweight system matching pretentious users’ needs.

In addition to durability, the netbook sports a black, brushed finish around the screen and soft finish on the palm rest area, as well as on the base.
HP says it’s the first time in the netbook industry when this material combination is used.

Inside the 2.6-pound netbook we find a 4-cell or optional 6-cell battery for up to 8 hours of continuous operating time, an Intel Atom processor enabling low-power consumption, a fast HDD at 7,200 RPM, optional solid state drive of up to 120 GB capacity, an optional HP Mobile Broadband module, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2MP web camera, and the HP 3D DriveGuard that protects stored data by shutting down the hard drive in case of accidental shocks.

HP Mini 5101 will be available for purchase starting July, for a price of $449.
