Google Voice sends public invitations

Google started to send invites for their new service called Google Voice.  Google Voice is a service that gives you one number for all your phones, voicemail that is easy as email, and many enhanced calling features like call blocking and screening, voicemail transcripts, call conferencing, international calls, and more.

You can access and make calls from the phone and the Web, block annoying callers at will, and record custom greetings for different callers or groups of callers.

With Google Voice, you’ll get all your voicemails in one place, saved for as long as you want. If you don’t answer a call to your Google number, your callers will be sent to your Google voicemail. You can check messages by calling your Google number, by signing in to Google Voice, or by opting in to receive notifications.

If you are a GrandCentral customer and you want to change your number, you will have to pay a fee of 10$. After you change the number, you will receive all the calls and messages from your old number for 90 days. Maybe Google will introduce for its service and portability of numbers.

Unfortunately Google Voice is available only for users from Unites States. Let’s hope Google will extend this service for other countries, particularly from Europe.
