Golden Joystick Awards 2009 Winners

On October 30, the winners of the Golden Joystick Awards were announced. This is the 27th annual edition of the world’s oldest and most prestigious gaming awards ceremony where gamers from allover the world had the chance to vote for their favorite video games.

The winners announced in London are:

- LittleBigPlanet in the Family Game of the Year category;
- Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars in the Bliss Handheld Game of the Year category;
- GAME in the Retailer of the Year category;
- Metal Gear Solid Touch in the Mobile Game of the Year category;
- Call of Duty: World at War in both the Nintendo Game of the Year and the MSN Multiplayer Game of the Year categories;
- Guitar Hero World Tour in The Rampage Soundtrack of the Year category;
- Gears of War 2 in the Xbox Game of the Year category;
- Fallout 3 in both the PC Game of the Year and the Ultimate Game of the Year, with Zavvi.co.uk, categories;
- Jagex in the Amiqus Games UK Developer of the Year category;
- Killzone 2 in the PlayStation Game of the Year category;
- Activision Blizzard in the Publisher of the Year category;
- Left4Dead in the Online Game of the Year category;
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in the ShortList One to Watch category;

There were no less than 1,223,646 votes in total.
