FLO TV is a provider of live TV content for mobile devices and has just announced the release of an innovative handheld device that was designed to provide digital television right in your hand.
The pocketable FLO TV Personal Television will allow you to watch TV shows, news, sports and shows for children while on the go, starting this holiday season, when it will be available at select retailers in America.
The device receives live TV content from the FLO TV dedicated multicast network and displays it on a 3.5-inch screen for up to five hours continuously from a full battery charge. The standby time is of 300 hours, while the device measures 4.4 x 3 x 0.5 inches at 5 ounces, to be easy to carry inside your poket or bag.
Its display features the touchscreen technology and you can browse through TV channels with a swipe of your finger. Included are a built-in stand for when you want to place it on a desk and watch TV shows from a comfortable position, integrated stereo speakers for sharing video content with friends and family members, as well as the possibility to set programme reminders, so you won’t miss any of your favorite shows.
To be able to use the device for watching digital TV programmes you need to get the monthly subscription-based service for $8.99 and purchase the FLO TV Personal Television for around $249.99, which will be the suggested retail price established by the manufacturer.
