Firefox 3.5 Final Available Today

Finally we can announce you that the newest version of the most popular web browser will be available for download later today.
According to Softpedia, the development of the open-source browser’s latest version was finalized yesterday and Mozilla will make it available for download within the next hours via automatic updates, for those already using previous versions, and on the official website.
Those of you who can’t wait to receive the update can spend some time to read about the new features of the browser in the following lines, just to know what to expect from it.

Firefox 3.5 was at first named Firefox 3.1, but later the name was changed and codenamed Shiretoko. It comes in over 70 languages with highest speeds ever enabled by a Firefox version, a Private Browsing Mode, the new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine, Location Aware Browsing, support for JSON, enhancements in the Gecko layout engine, support for HTML 5 video and audio, downloadable fonts, new CSS properties, JavaScript query selectors, SVG transforms and many, many other improvements.

For normal users like you and me these features translate into websites loading much faster, complex site performing more things, as well as the possibility to keep your browsing data private without recording any cookie or website you visited, these being destroyed as you exit this mode. You can enter this mode by accessing Tools -> Start Private Browsing.
In the same menu you can select Clear Recent History, deleting all the visited data from the last hour, two hours, four hours, today or everything.

If you have closed some windows by mistake and you really need them back in order to continue what you were doing, you can enter History and select Recently Closed Windows.
More than these, you now can save videos like you have been saving images, just by right clicking and selecting Save Video As.

If you are in a new place, spending your time on the computer, browsing websites, and at some point you need to tell your friend where to come and find you, without knowing the exact address, you can ask Firefox for help by using a cool new feature called Location Aware Browsing. It will try to set your location on a map and display it to you.

Firefox 3.5 is fully customizable and you can choose from various themes, add-ons, and so on.
Mozilla Firefox 3.5 will be available for download for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
