Epson America introduced a new portable compact photo printer with image editing options so that users can print photos even without connecting it to the computer. The new printer called Epson PictureMate Charm enables high-quality and affordable photo printing and long-lasting prints.
Epson said in its latest press release that the new system creates durable prints that don’t fade in time and are both scratch- and water-resistant. Photos look like new even after 96 years under glass, or 200 years while stored in albums. This means they resist four times longer than pictures processed from classic films.
PictureMate Charm has a 2.5-inch LCD display on which you can see what you’re are editing, including cropping, removing red eye, select color tones and layouts, and others.
The printer also supports all popular memory cards. You can insert them in the dedicated slots and even print photos wirelessly from your cell phone, digital camera or personal digital assistant, with the condition that these feature Bluetooth connectivity and the Bluetooth adapter is connected to the printer.
You can print photos either on 4 x 6-inch matte paper, or on glossy photo paper, using the PictureMate PrintPacks. Epson also provides an optional rechargeable battery for longer operating time while you’re on the go.
The printer will be available in stores starting October 20 for a price of $149.99.
