EA Details the Driver Profile System in NFS Shift

Fans of the Need for Speed game series will be able to get the upcoming Need for Speed Shift starting September 17 from the European stores, and starting September 22 from the United States retailers. Available versions will be for personal computers, Playstation 3 system, Xbox 360 and the PSP gaming system.
The video game that’s highly expected by fans worldwide was created by Slightly Mad Studios, Black Box and Patrick Soderlund, a team including designers who worked on other popular games such as GT Legenda and GTR 2.

After the release you’ll find out more about the exclusive driver profile system detailed by Electronic Arts in its latest press release. According to the developer, you’ll encounter the system in both single player and multiplayer modes. Depending on your driver personality, racing success, profile points and badges, your driver profile develops automatically, manipulating the gameplay.

If we take a deeper look at each of the driver profile variables, we learn that in order to develop your own profile you need to create your own driving style, either aggressive or precise, finish with success as many races as you can, gather profile points, and receive many important badges for your achievements.

Electronic Arts also announced the winner of the Need for Speed SHIFT Hero Car Competition, who won a cool new 2009 BMW M3 Coupe for reaching the highest number of driver profile points, after racing on the Autopolis track at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.
