Celio Redfly Mobile Companion now Supports BlackBerry Smartphones

Celio, the creator of the Redfly mobile companion, announced that it’s mobile gadget now supports BlackBerry smartphones including BlackBerry Curve 8900, BlackBerry Bold 9000 and BlackBerry Tour 9630.
Redfly adds a larger screen and keyboard to the handset and in order to enable compatibility with the BlackBerry users need to download and install the REDFLY for BlackBerry software driver.

The device makes it easier for business professionals to compose long email messages, edit documents on the go, browse web pages and use applications. It features a 7-inch, or 8-inch display diagonal, of 800 x 480 pixels, VGA out, two SUB ports, up to eight hours of battery life and a weight of about 1.5 lbs, having a size of 1 x 6 9 inches.

The keyboard is a QWERTY, while the touchpad supports all the functions provided by laptop computers’ touchpads.
It connects to the handset via Bluetooth 2.0 or USB and supports computer mouse connectivity, either wired or wireless.
Celio Redfly is similar to a mini laptop computer and is meant to increase productivity.

There are two models available – Redfly C8N and Redfly C7 – and the driver is available for download for free to existing and new owners.

“BlackBerry is a leader in the smartphone market and has an overwhelming acceptance among business users,” said Kirt Bailey, president and CEO of Celio. “We’re confident that BlackBerry smartphone customers will enjoy the convenience of using REDFLY’s larger screen and keyboard to type emails, browse the Internet, and edit documents.”
