Canon introduced a series of new printers for the customer sector among which are two wireless all-in-ones, one inkjet business Pixma model and a Selphy photo printer with an innovative feature first time encountered in a printer.
The Selphy ES40 Compact Photo Printer features a voice guidance system provided in seven languages, which tells you the steps to follow in order to add graphics to an image and print it. This eliminates the need for reading a manual, or having special knowledge about how printers work.
It was optimized for printing high-quality photos and has a smart design that makes it easily portable. There is a 3.5-inch high-resolution LCD display with Easy Scroll Wheel for navigation through the menus and photos, as well as an automatic image optimizer and several customization options, such as frames and clip art, included in the Creative Print function.
The printer is powered by the Digic II processor and also supports wireless printing via the Bluetooth technology. It integrates ink and media types like credit card sized-paper, postcard sizes, gold, silver, black and white.
Specifications include dye-sublimation thermal transfer printing system, 300 x 600 dpi maximum resolution, 24-bit color depth, PictBridge and USB connectivity.
It will be available in October with the included Selphy Photo Print software for a suggested retail price of $149.993.

This is a high quality photo printer beyond some of the gimmicky features. I have an associate who has one of these, and they love it
