Canon EOS-1D Mark IV Provides Outstanding Capabilities for $4,999

The newest Digital SLR camera model introduced by Canon packs 16MP resolution, a redesigned 45-point autofocus system, 10-frames per second continuous shooting, high ISO sensitivity levels, as well as full high definition video recording capability providing options for different frame rates.
Canon EOS-1D Mark IV is a high-speed camera powered by the Dual DIGIC 4 imaging processor technology, featuring 14-bit A/D data conversion, CMOS sensor, rugged construction and many other powerful features for professional photographers.

In its latest press release, Canon tells us about the 45 AF starting points enabled by the new autofocus system, the 39 cross-type focusing points at 10 frames per second for fast moving subjects, the AI Servo II AF focusing algorithm, a range of 100 to 12,800 for the ISO, adjustable High ISO Noise Reduction, the Auto Lighting Optimizer system, and the new WFT-E2 II A wireless file transmitter.

The transmitter is available exclusively for the new camera model, consisting of a small device that enables IEEE802.11a/b/g and Ethernet connectivity. Via the Camera Linking feature the user can connect to up to 10 cameras wirelessly and simultaneously, while the WFT Server mode allows users to access the Live View and fire the camera through the Internet, from anywhere in the world. This can be done via a smartphone with Internet access, or via a web browser on the computer.
In addition, the camera supports geo-tagging via Bluetooth.

Canon will release the new model in US stores by the end of December at a starting price of $4,999.
