BenQ Unveils MK2442 LCD TV

Today, BenQ unveiled a new product in its LCD TV line, the 23.6-inch MK2442. This model can be used as a large computer monitor or as a second TV unit for your home.  By launching the MK2442, BenQ is taking advantage of the developing markets such as Eastern Europe, where only 40 percent of viewers are tuning into LCD TVs.

This new LCD TV has a response time of 5 ms and it’s Full HD at a resolution of 1920×1080 which is double the the previous resolution technology of 1366×768. You will have a real cinema viewing experience due to the output of 1080p 24Hz signal.

BenQ’s Senseye Human Vision Technology is an image enhancement engine that “imitates the human eye”. It increases the clarity, contrast and colors of the video, and through motion optimization it removes the blur from quick images and creates detailed and more profound images.

The other technology that BenQ uses on this product is the Auto Contrast Enhancement of 10,000:1. It adjusts automatically the display backlight thus optimizing the contrast levels. To get the best quality for uncompressed signals you have the HDMI 1.3 interface.

The MK2442 will be available in major European countries including Germany, Spain, Italy, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland and Russia on August 20.
