Asus launches a new high speed wireless router: RT-N16

RT-N16 is a Wireless-N Gigabit Router that will offer Speed, Simplicity and Security.

With a maximum speed of 300Mbps, RT-N16 offers outstanding transfer performance. Having a video memory of 128MB DDR 2, RT-N16 is 8 times faster and delivers exceptional multi-tasking with no system lags.

 The four Gigabit Ethernet ports offer high speed wired Lan. The router’s two USB ports will help you share data from USB devices and also allow you to connect a printer or a scanner. The download manager software (Download Master) permits 300.000 sessions, 20 times more than traditional routers.

The graphical interface of RT-N16, called EZ-UI, allows users to manage their networks as well as set up a shared printer. EZ UI comprises a whole host of innovative connectivity features such as the EZQoS, All-in-one printer, AiDisk, QIS (Quick Internet Setup), Network Map, Dr. Surf, and EZ MFP—all of which are controlled and managed through a single user interface.

Using EZQoS you can allocate different bandwidth for the users.  With All-in-one printer users can simultaneously access a printer, so you don’t have to buy a print server. With AiDisk you can engage in file-sharing among peers in three easy steps.

One of the most important features of a router is security. With its built-in WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) all data is encrypted to prevent unauthorized access from outsiders.
