Apple TV Software Updates to 3.0

Apple released the third version of its Apple TV software, which comes with an enhanced user interface to make it easier to browse through menus and find what you need faster.
With Apple TV users can rent high definition movies, get iTunes extras, buy high definition shows, listen to music from iTunes, as well as Internet radio, and browse through their own photos.

The Apple TV 3.0 software has a redesigned main menu through which it’s now easier to access features, while providing full-screen views for iTunes Extras with interactive galleries, interviews and deleted scenes, and the iTunes LP that shows live performance videos of various artists, artwork, lyrics, interviews, pictures and album credits.
Via your home theater system you can access Genius Mixes with 12 song mixes generated from your iTunes library automatically.
In the iPhoto Events you can easily find your favorite pictures, while iPhoto Faces organizes images by people’s faces recognized in iPhoto.

The new software version and the Apple TV featuring 160 GB storage capacity are available for $229, but if you already own an Apple TV the upgrade is done automatically for free.

“The new software for Apple TV features a simpler and faster interface that gives you instant access to your favorite content,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of Internet Services. “HD movies and HD TV shows from iTunes have been a huge hit with Apple TV customers, and with Apple TV 3.0 they get great new features including iTunes Extras, Genius Mixes and Internet radio.”
