According to Macworld, several applications developed by Allen Leung have been permanently removed from the Apple App Store.
The reason? –Well, it seems that Allen Leung had violated the terms of the iPhone Developer Program, which doesn’t approve porn-related content, by adding “inappropriate” content after the Hottest Girls application was approved and distributed. Apple also asked the developer to remove the “offensive” content for several times, but with no result. As a consequence, Hottest Girls is not available for download via the Apple App Store anymore.
From what I read, I found out that this application added pictures of nude women, which seems to be enough for Apple to consider it pornographic content and remove it for good last Thursday. Apple also removed the other applications coming from the same developer, as most of their descriptions were indicating the same type of content.
Hottest Girls version 2.0 was described as bringing over “2,000 sexy bikini babes and lingerie models”. It was selling for $1.99 and was suited for people over 17. It was supported by both iPhone and iPod touch running on the iPhone OS 2.2.1 and offered users the possibility to save sexy images to their photo library, set them as wallpapers or as contact’s image, and share pictures with friends.
The other removed applications are: Hottest Guys with photos of sexy men, EliteBrowser, Send Flowers with over 300 images of flowers, Perfect Girls featuring “xxx and sex pictures”.
