Alpine introduces the NVE-M300 GPS Navigation Drive

Alpine announced the availability of NVE-M300 GPS navigation Drive.  Stephen Witt, vice president, marketing, Alpine Electronics says: “With the NVE-M300, we are delivering an improved GPS navigation experience at a lower cost”.

The NVE-M300 is a compact, external navigation drive. Measuring only 4 3/8 in. x 4 1/8 in. x 1 in., it is designed to be professionally installed and mounted in a hide-away location, such as behind the dash.

The great feature of the NVE-M300 is OnPoint Advanced GPS Positioning. With OnPoint you can know where you are even in tunnels or in places where is difficult to have accurate GPS reception.  OnPoint makes your life much easier using simultaneously three technologies: satellite-linked positioning data, gyro sensor technology (to determine the vehicle’s direction) and accelerometer technology (to gauge the vehicle’s speed). This way you know all the time the position of your vehicle.

Its graphical user interface is simple and helps you make selection using touchscreen. To choose your destination is very easy. When you start typing the destination, the system narrows down the next selection of letters conveniently for you and automatically display a short list of possible results. Choose the destination you wanted and press “Go!” to calculate your route and get to your destination.

The NVE-M300’s maps cover the United States and Canada, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. You will also have 6 million unique Points of Interest (POIs), which include restaurants, hotels, gas stations, movie theaters and grocery stores.

The price for the NVE-M300 GPS Navigation Drive is $450.
