Web site developers can now download the ColdFusion 9 and Cold Fusion Builder beta releases announced by the leading developer of multimedia and creativity software products.
Both the powerful development technology used for creating dynamic web sites and Internet applications, and the integrated development environment based on Eclipse, which supports ColdFusion applications development, are meant to increase productivity in rich Internet applications development.
Users of ColdFusion can expect greater integration with the Adobe Flash Platform from the beta release, along with a full set of integrated tools, clients/servers and frameworks. These allow developers to create rich and complex user interfaces for different enterprise-level applications.
In addition, the new software version reduces complexity enabling easier access to data from Microsoft Office files, Microsoft SharePoint and others from the enterprise infrastructure.
The built-in Adobe AIR application allows for multiple ColdFusion servers management from a single location, as well as local and remote database synchronization, while the object relational mapping in Hibernate offers database-independent applications.
On the other hand, ColdFusion Builder is a new development environment for applications, server management and project deployment. The public beta comes with debugging tools, a customizable development environment, plus support for ColdFusion 7- and ColdFusion 8-based applications.
It increases productivity thanks to the automation of redundant tasks and the reuse of code, as Adobe specifies.
Both the ColdFusion 9 beta and ColdFusion Builder beta are available for download on the official Adobe Labs website.
