Available for both Windows and Mac computers, the new Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 provides an easy-to-use solution for those who want to do more in photo editing. Based on Adobe’s intelligent technologies, the new software versions announced today bring several automated tools to help users create perfect photos.
In addition to the Organizer, available also in the new Premier Elements 8 for Windows, which gives you access to your photos from a single place, making them easy to manage, the software also comes with the Auto-Analyzer to tag pictures so that you can find them later in the shortest time, while the People Recognition feature can learn to associate names with faces in order to identify people in photos.
Users have the possibility to synchronize media files across several computers automatically.
Adobe Photomerge Exposure is another intelligent tool that merges multiple photos of a single scene together to keep all the details, and Recompose allows you to resize images with no distortion. Next there’s the Quick Fix tool used to select the best color, lighting level and contrast from different previews.
More than that, Adobe provides the Photoshop Elements 8 Plus with 20 GB of storage for online sharing and backup.
The software version compatible with Mac computers now comes with all the tools brought by the Windows version plus the Scene Cleaner that removes unwanted objects from photos, the Smart Brush for adding effects to specific parts of the photo, and the Touch-Up brushes for enhancing subjects’ appearance or nature elements.
Both Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 for Windows and Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac have a price of $99.99, but only the Windows version is available at the moment. The Mac edition can be purchased starting next month.
