911 Medical ID – First USB Card That Stores Your Personal Medical Information

The 911 Medical ID is maybe one of the most innovative products introduced this year. It was developed by the Kentucky-based company called MEMI Tech and consists of a credit card-shaped USB storage device that can hold all your personal medical information and which can be carried inside your wallet, pocket or purse, being easy to use in emergency cases.

In my opinion it’s an amazing product that not only saves a significant amount of time, but also lives and money. Imagine using it for providing all your medical records including lists of prescriptions at any moment.
MEMI Tech developed 911 Medical ID in three years and the card pre-loads a special software that launches automatically when you connect the it to the computer via USB. This way you can access emergency contacts, doctors, prescriptions, medical conditions, medical tests, a living will and family history, including medical records of ten family members.
It comes in 1GB or 2Gb capacity with password protection for the stored data, which the user can backup for free on a website, and also updates automatically.

“Every time you go to a doctor, you are asked questions to update their records, and a visit to a new doctor can take forever because of the stack of forms that need to be filled out,” said Mark Weiss CEO MEMI Tech. “This card not only provides the piece of mind that your health information is available in the case of an emergency, it can also save time. Just give the doctor’s staff the 911 Medical ID™ card, and tell them that all of your information is available inside.”
